| wtf_sexismSelf-described as "a little community with a lot of rage," you can soak up impassioned vibes and read blistering exposes detailing sexist attitudes in the news, pop culture, and science! A must-join community if you are, or love, a feminist. (NB: the topic of whether a "man" can be a feminist is outside the scope of this spotlight, but will probably wind up on the Writer's Block.) | |

| This is just a quick note to let you know that NaNoLJer's paid subscription has expired. The reason you might care is that if we were linking to you from the sidebar because you donated a prize for NaNoWriMo or what not, that link may have vanished (we are allowed fewer on a free account). I apologise, but it's kind of out of my control. I will try to remember to login now and then and cycle the links that show up there, but I can't make any promises because my memory is like swiss cheese these days. ETA: bdwilson gifted the community with additional paid time, so please ignore everything I just said, and thank her for her generousity :) Thank you BD :) | |

| Okay, so I have a printed copy of my manuscript from 2008. My mother read it and marked it up a little bit. The question I have is whether I should force myself to reread it and mark it up the same way; or should I just retype the whole thing and edit as I go. I tend to do the latter a lot better because it's easier to focus. I write by hand a lot while I'm at work and it always looks like a first draft by the time I get it typed up. But I'm not sure how helpful that really is to editing. Advice anyone? Any other suggestions that I haven't thought of yet? | |
